What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAT I Spanish Linguist (GTMO) position at Torden LLC?
Torden is seeking qualified Spanish linguists for positions on US Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay (GTMO).
Requirements :
- Interpretation and translation Proficiency in Spanish to / from English
- Speaking, listening, reading comprehension ILR must meet 3 minimum in Spanish and 2 in English
- Demonstrated ability to conduct accurate translation, transcription, and interpretation
- Must have typing and computer skills
- Must be able to think quickly and work in a professional atmosphere as part of a team
- Ability to understand the essentials of all speech in a standard dialect and have broad vocabulary to rarely require assistance for paraphrasing or explanation.
- Ability to follow accurately the essentials of conversations between native speakers
- Ability to understand radio broadcasts, news stories similar to wire service reports, oral reports, some oral technical reports, and public addresses on non-technical subjects.
- Due to location of assignment, must meet medical and dental screening requirements as well as immunizations up to date
