What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAT II Spanish Linguist (GTMO) position at Torden LLC?
Torden is seeking qualified Spanish linguists with an active clearance for interpretation and translation support on US Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay (GTMO).
Requirements :
- Interpretation and translation Proficiency in Spanish to / from English
- Speaking, listening, reading comprehension ILR must meet 3 minimum in Spanish and 3 in English
- Demonstrated ability to conduct accurate translation, transcription, and interpretation
- Must have typing and computer skills
- Must be able to think quickly and work in a professional atmosphere as part of a team
- Ability to understand the essentials of all speech in a standard dialect and have broad vocabulary to rarely require assistance for paraphrasing or explanation.
- Ability to follow accurately the essentials of conversations between native speakers
- Ability to understand radio broadcasts, news stories similar to wire service reports, oral reports, some oral technical reports, and public addresses on non-technical subjects.
- Due to location of assignment, must meet medical and dental screening requirements as well as immunizations up to date
