DescriptionTorgeson Electric is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) Manager to lead our growing VDC team.
Job Description
The VDC Manager will be a go-to resource for the team, overseeing projects and ensuring successful implementation of VDC technologies across all phases of our electrical construction projects. This role will still involve hands-on work, utilizing VDC tools and processes, but will also require strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor and develop junior VDC team members.
The salary range for this position is competitive and relevant to experience.

- 5 years of experience in VDC or electrical detailing (specialist experience preferred).
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and other VDC tools.
- Experience leading VDC efforts for electrical construction projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, BIM modeling, clash detection, and project coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to manage schedules, communicate with foremen, and collaborate with other departments (Project Management, Engineering, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for project data tracking and reporting.
