DescriptionTorgeson Electric Company is currently seeking a skilled Journeyman Service Electrician. Service electricians work under the Service Department Manager with the assistance of the Service Department Administrator to complete the assigned work orders and projects.Scope of WorkService journeyman electricians should have knowledge in the National Electric Code and can install (troubleshoot) electrical components with minimal supervision and in a timely manner. Some traveling required in northeast Kansas.PayBased on Experience.Hours40 hours (on average)TransportationThe Service Electrician will be issued a service van.LodgingProvided if RequiredReq. On time on a regular basis and prepared for work
Installation of all aspects of electrical systems
Basic trouble shooting and diagnostic of electrical systems
Ability to work at heights / bucket truck
Well organized including paperwork, tools, material, etc.
Ability to interpret plans
Participate in On Call rotations (weekends and holidays)
Capable of working in secured areas with extensive background checks
Good customer reviews and relations
Good communication and documentation skills
Fill out daily pre-job safety plan for the work that will be performed
