POSITION SUMMARY
As People Operations Generalist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of people systems, processes, and training initiatives. This individual will be responsible for executing day to day HR administration. They will partner with Sr. Business Partner, People Operations on key initiatives that drive employee engagement and business performance while cultivating the Blue Jays organizational culture. This position carries out HR generalist responsibilities in the following functional areas but not limited to recruitment, training, performance management, and onboarding.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Oversee the recruitment process for US Operations, which includes updating job descriptions, posting job openings, managing the applicant tracking system, coordinating interviews, extending and processing employment offers and reporting on key metrics.
- Initiate, process, and communicate results of background checks.
- Take ownership of the onboarding process to enhance the experience for employees.
Training and Development
- Assist in identifying training needs for US staff and help deliver and manage existing training programs.
- Coordinate with the broader People Operations Team on training and development initiatives.
HRIS Management
- Assist in developing a comprehensive plan to implement a new Human Resource Information System (HRIS) for our US employees.
- Coordinate system configuration, data migration, user training, and ongoing support to maximize the effectiveness of the new HRIS platform.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including staff files, HRIS data and other HR documentation.
Compliance
- Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
- Managing employee records and documentation to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Performance Management:
- Support the performance management process.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing employee performance and satisfaction.
General Administration:
- Track and follow up with managers on various People Operations administration items (disability leaves, fixed term contracts, letter preparation, etc.)
- Collaborate with the broader People Operations team to update and maintain all US staff on EBIS, the organization chart, front office directory, and other related systems.
- Support colleagues on the team by assuming responsibility for projects and team initiatives.
- Assist with other duties and projects that may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in human resources, ideally as a generalist, including exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of HRIS platforms and experience in managing or maintaining intranet sites.
