Job Overview:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in ground-up public and commercial construction, with expertise in full-scope estimating, takeoffs, and bid preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Estimator while independently managing bid preparation and ensuring timely project delivery.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing, and full trade estimating for ground-up public projects.
- Review drawings from inception and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate cost assessments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to compile competitive bids.
Requirements:
- 6-7 years of estimating experience in ground-up public and commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to negotiate with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in estimating software, cost analysis tools, and MS Office applications.
