Position Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager Co-op to work out of our West Allis, WI office. This role involves engaging in Project Management activities to gain a comprehensive understanding of our business operations, including engineering, project management, production operations, and OEM parts.
In this position, you will handle small projects under the guidance of experienced Project Management staff. You will learn about various rotating generating equipment and collaborate closely with engineers, shop operations, field operations, and project management personnel to support customer service projects. You will also learn the process of coordinating and executing small-scale power generation services and repairs. This role requires interaction with customers, shop operations, engineering, and external vendors.
Essential Duties
- Learn the design and repair processes for steam turbines and generators.
- Learn the process of developing bids and proposals.
- Review and analyze customer requests for proposals with the guidance of a mentor, then collect information from all available resources to create proposals for our customers.
- Work closely with a TAES Mentor to manage project execution for services on steam turbines, valves, and electric generators.
- Maintain project budgets and report cash flow and invoicing forecasts to accounting.
- Work closely with Engineering Groups to understand repair recommendations and communicate them to customers through additional work authorizations.
Education and Required Experience
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred

Work Environment
The majority of this work takes place in an office and the work environment is that of a typical office environment in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are usually moderate. Frequently the employee will interact with personnel in the plant where he/she may be exposed to higher noise levels.
