Project Manager Role Overview
Project Manager Opportunity in Electrical Construction
Position Type: Full-Time, In-person, Salary
Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin
Reporting To: Vice President of Sales, Service, & Technology
Note: Applicants must have direct experience in electrical construction to be considered.
What you will do:
- Directly oversees assigned projects of any size from start to finish ensuring quality and timely completion
- Ensures delivery of equipment, materials, tools, and field staff are scheduled to meet project deadlines
- Plans and schedules resources with Superintendent/Foreman to meet project expectations
- Provides direction to field staff in terms of task management
- Evaluates project costs ensuring project remains on/under budget, updates monthly
- Prepares, presents and tracks Change Orders
- Processes and maintains proper written documents needed for projects within Project Filing System
- Acts as a liaison between architects, contractors, and owners, etc.
- Conducts site visits on a regular basis, as required
- Actively develop and identify opportunities and assists in marketing
- Attends weekly project meetings both internally and externally
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
- Must have 5 years of Electrical Construction Experience required. Candidates without this critical qualification will not be considered.
- Journeyman's License required.
- Master Electrician License or willingness to obtain preferred.
- Ability to understand electrical codes and standards (Electrical)
- Ability to understand construction means and methods
- Ability to understand and interpret blueprints
- Ability to use computerized estimating system and all Office Applications
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and organize multiple projects
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to exercise attention to detail
- Possesses strong organizational capabilities
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and through written format
- Ability to maintain rapport with customers, employees, etc.
- Ability to network with industry professionals by participating in outside associations
- Ability to understand, measure, and be accountable for project profit and losses
Physical Requirements:
- Able to work in an office where the job performance may require a long time sitting or standing.
- Produce, file, and perform other administrative functions as assigned.
- Ability to wear job-specific required PPE as needed.
- Must be able to drive to various customer sites as required.
Work Environment:
- Well-lit, heated, and/or air-conditioned modern office setting with adequate ventilation.
- Employees may experience exposure to heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow on job sites.
