The Cloud Engineering Intern plays a part in the evolution of the shopping experiences retailers offer and help shape the future of retail. We provide services to retail clients worldwide by developing and delivering an array of custom software solutions such as POS, self-checkout, and mobility solutions. We seek proactive and skilled resources to work in a dynamic, collaborative and ever-changing environment. Responsibilities for this role includes working with a cross functional team while developing application software in an agile framework and supporting software test efforts.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE & SPECIAL SKILLS
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 1 Years of experience in full software development life cycle.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, and testing
- Experience analyzing, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting software solutions for highly transactional systems.
- Experience with Agile development methodology.
- Responsible, organized, and hard-working.
- Strong communication skills and team player with a can-do attitude.
- Meeting and adhering to programming standards and practices throughout SDLC.
- Willing to resolve defects independently and focus on expanding skillset to learn new Cloud / DevOps technologies/tools.
- Ability to identify bottlenecks.
- Able to complete tasks on time and produce standards.
- Knowledge of DevOps CI/CD pipelines for build and release.
- Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure using Terraform.
- Experience with any one of the scripting languages is additional.
- Experience with Azure Cloud
- Experience with Databases like AzureSQL, MongoDB Atlas, Cosmos vCore, etc.
- Experience with Programming languages like Java.
- Knowledge about Reporting tools like Sisense, PowerBI, etc.
Major Responsibilities:
- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based, mobile, or Internet-related computer programs. Code will be used in commercial applications in the Retail Software Solutions business.
- Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Maintain, support, and troubleshoot existing portfolio of applications.
- Documenting and presenting software design. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Interacts with cross functional teams to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Collaborate with other developers and quality assurance engineers to deliver high quality products.
- Communicate status and identify project risks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
