Responsibilities:
- Identify valuable data sources and automate mining/collection processes.
- Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
- Analyze large amounts of data/information to discover and articulate trends and patterns.
- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
- Combine models through ensemble modeling.
- Develop conclusive insights using statistical methods.
- Drive insight to operational models by collaborating with operational teams.
- Collaborate with the team to further mature and extend the existing CICD pipeline for machine learning models.
- Develop performance and tuning models for to measure efficiencies
- Act as a mentor/lead and guide the team to the data transformations.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree (in Math, Science, Engineering, or Business) or equivalent experience
- 5 years' experience as a data scientist, data analyst or data engineer
- Has working knowledge of multiple programming languages and statistical packages, as well as knowledge of dataset tools and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) tools.
- Critical thinker that is comfortable supporting collaborative problem solving in a team environment
- Knowledge of R or SAS, Python, Azure AI Cloud Services and JavaScript
- Has strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to effectively break down complex technical ideas into simple concepts for audiences with minimal coding exposure.
- Strong presence and comfortable presenting to C-level executives
- Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams
- Proven ability to creatively deliver business results through data-based insights
- Experience working with SaaS platforms and/or artificial intelligence architectures
- Experience with 3 rd party APIs for data collection and enrichment.
Preferred Skills:
- Masters in Math, Science or Engineering preferred.
- Experience with streaming data frameworks like Azure data bricks, Kafka or others
- Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning techniques as well as experience deploying, operating, and maintaining models in a production environment.
- Previous retailer experience
- Prior success with customer experience enhancement
- Experience with visualization tools such as Grafana, Tableau or Sisense.
