Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the movement and storage of goods into, out of and throughout the warehouse. The Warehouse Manager develops and maintains effective systems to manage the safety, people, process, and training in areas of responsibility.
Major Duties and Responsibilities

Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.

Develop measurable objectives and track performance to metrics. Develop employee ownership of the continuous improvement process.

Establish warehouse practices and protocols utilizing lean methodology to achieve an efficient warehouse.

Establish and maintain effective systems to align ERP system data with physical inventory situations.

Interfaces with other departments to ensure materials are available, accessible, and properly accounted for when removed from inventory.

Develops an operation plan including people, resources, equipment, and floor space to meet changing business conditions.

Lead inventory count programs to ensure compliance with accounting standards and support accurate financial reporting.

Manage flow of scrap and reclaim material from internal and external sources to achieve environmental and financial targets.

Driven identification and proposed disposition of Excess and Obsolete inventory in partnership with finance team.

Ensures that capital projects and business objectives are met while adhering to approved budgets.

Work across functional boundaries for the best overall business result.
Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or equivalent experience.

Problem solving or process improvement education such as Lean Six Sigma is preferred
Skills and Qualifications

Exhibit effective organization, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Experience with implementation and increasing effectiveness of manufacturing information systems and processes, with expertise in inventory control practices.

Project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.

Working knowledge of synchronous flow and lean methodology.

Demonstrated success in progressively responsible roles.
