Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Assistant to join our team Monday-Friday from 7:15am to 12:30pm could turn into a full time position. As a Daycare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. Your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities, supporting childhood development, and ensuring the well-being of each child in our care.
Duties:
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate activities and lesson plans
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime
- Provide assistance with feeding, diapering, and toileting as needed
- Monitor children to ensure their safety at all times
- Collaborate with teachers to create a positive learning environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the daycare facility
- Assist with record-keeping and documentation of children's progress
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities and development
Skills:
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Experience working with students in a classroom or daycare setting
- Ability to educate and engage children through age-appropriate activities
- Strong skills in toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and toileting
- Familiarity with preschool curriculum and classroom management techniques
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
