Technical Drafter
· Collaborate directly with the Project Management and Sales teams in creating high quality technical drawings.
· Understand size and distance requirements for a given project, sometimes requiring computing mathematical formulas to develop and design the appropriate layout.
· Work with a mix of architectural and mechanical drafting practices, being able to create quick-connect drawing components and place them together in two-dimensional representations of a physical space.
· Maintain technical drawing quality standards, ensuring drawings contain all necessary details for successful manufacture and installation of our products.
· Lay out, draw, and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications to describe operation and maintenance of mechanical systems, including assembly and machine footprints.
Technical Drafter Knowledge and Skills Requirements
· 3 or more years of experience as a Technical Drafter in the HVAC, Plumbing, industrial or contracting industry.
· Proficiency and experience with AutoCAD is required.
· Understanding of electrical drafting is preferred.
· Bluebeam experience preferred.
· Able to analyze, interpret, and proofread construction and engineering technical drawings from customers, dealers, or vendors including drawings in metric units.
· Exceptional attendance and reliability.
· Thoroughness and attention to detail.
· Must be flexible to work under pressure with deadlines, if needed.
· Able to work with revisions to iterate on a drawing set after reviews and new information comes in.
· Prefer technical drafting certifications (AutoCAD, AADA, etc.)
· Strong work ethic and team mindset.
· Ability to efficiently manage time amongst simultaneous projects.
· Good communication skills, able to help and teach others.
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
