Responsibilities:

Develop & Implement: Enhance the Safety Management System (SMS) across all operations, ensuring consistency in safety measures.

Conduct & Supervise: Lead safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments for aircraft and facilities, implementing corrective actions from incident investigations.

Establish Protocols: Develop safety standards addressing the risks of vintage aircraft during events and restorations.

Ensure Compliance: Uphold ground and industrial safety in maintenance and operational areas, aligning with OSHA and other relevant regulations.

Oversee Safety Training: Design training programs for pilots and crew, organize seminars, and ensure compliance with FAA regulations.

Coordinate Safety for Events: Manage safety protocols for airshows and public demonstrations, coordinating with FAA and event organizers.

Foster a Safety Culture: Promote communication and safety-conscious behaviors, lead safety committees, and facilitate internal safety campaigns.
Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation safety, flight operations, or risk management, with a preference for vintage aircraft.

Strong expertise in FAA regulations, aviation safety practices, and airshow operations.

Proven experience in implementing Safety Management Systems (SMS).

Proficient in incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety audits.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) or equivalent credential.

Experience in airshow operations or with heritage aircraft programs.

Licensed pilot with vintage or warbird aircraft experience.
