Overview of the Role :
As a Production Planner Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the production planning and control of jet engine maintenance operations. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure that engine repair processes are streamlined and efficient. Your contributions will be instrumental in maintaining our client’s high standards for customer deliverables and operational excellence.
Responsibilities :
- Train, develop, and supervise the production planning team on systems and operations.
- Thoroughly review work scopes to understand the scope of repair and customer deliverables.
- Coordinate with the purchasing and Outside Vendor Service department to identify and order all necessary materials.
- Ensure internal / external repair work orders are in place to meet the engine schedule.
- Coordinate with other department supervisors to ensure resources are available to complete tasks on time.
- Send out weekly progress reports and monitor critical parts list.
- Review and monitor aging inventory to plan out realistic production schedules.
- Lead and participate in production meetings, highlighting critical paths.
- Prepare work-around plans to manage surge capacity and expedited delivery demands.
- Ensure all parts, materials, and tooling are available for planned tasks.
- Follow procedures and regulations to comply with FAA and other quality standards.
- Make recommendations to management on process improvements.
- Work closely with the assembly team to meet production schedules and deliver engines on time.
- Manage and develop EPP business.
- Direct and follow the gates system to enhance accountability.
