Summary
The Group Optimization Manager will act as a neutral third party responsible for enabling group revenue and function space optimization while balancing the strategic needs of stakeholders. This role focuses on the analysis and communication of group opportunities to ensure maximum profitability and efficiency for client properties. This is a 6-month contract role.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities
Support Process and Tool Development in Order To:
- Evaluate revenue hurdles, business minimums, and occupancy by meal periods.
- Provide insights to sales teams and directors to enhance group pricing and sales strategies.
- Maintain sub-calendars and other operational tools for function space management.
Strategically Analyze and Communicate Suitability of Group Opportunities:
- Perform strategic analysis of group business opportunities to determine if accepting/rejecting opportunities supports the stated goals of the complex.
- Communicate results of analysis and supporting data.
Perform Analysis:
- Build historical data and leverage it for future decisions.
- Engage in predictive analytics to identify potential opportunities and guide group sales strategy.
- Recommend adjustments to optimize market position during compressed market conditions.
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years recent experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or related professional area.

- This is a remote contract position
- The ideal candidate will be located in Nashville, but this is not required
Contract Terms
- 32 hours per week required
- Business Hours: Available during 8am to 5pm Central time
- Initial contract is 6 months, with potential to extend
