Entry Level IT Technician - Short term project

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and detailed oriented individuals for a short-term project to support the deployment and installation of IT hardware in a data center environment. The role involves racking, stacking, cabling, and basic configuration of servers, network equipment, and storage devices. This is the perfect opportunity to gain training and experience in the data center.

Responsibilities

• Install and secure IT hardware in racks following specified layouts.
• Route, label, and test power and network cabling.
• Perform basic configuration and functionality tests on hardware.
• Document equipment installations and report progress to the project manager.
• Adhere to safety and compliance protocols.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 0–3 years in data center or IT infrastructure projects, with rack and stack experience preferred.
• Skills: Familiarity with server and network hardware, cabling standards, and basic networking concepts preferred but not necessary.
• Physical: Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Overtime
