Job Overview
Seeking a Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant : A part -time position

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in process efficiently.
• Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
• Maintain patient records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with coding and billing processes, utilizing software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix.
• Handle incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage.
• Support healthcare providers with administrative tasks as needed, including preparing examination rooms and assisting during procedures.
• Ensure the office environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in medical office management or as a dental receptionist is preferred.
• Familiarity with health information management practices and medical records maintenance.
• Proficient in medical coding and understanding of medical terminology.
• Experience using Eaglesoft or Dentrix software is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
