What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fine Gardener position at Total Grounds?
Job Title: Fine Gardener
The fine gardener's main responsibilities will be to maintain our customer's properties to the highest standards through tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, and grooming plants. They will be part of the Enhancements Division and be deployed to assist in maintaining seasonal maintenance contracts, as well as plant installation projects across all our divisions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the appearance and health of gardens to the highest standards to include tasks such as: planting, transplanting, pruning, weeding, and grooming plants for optimal aesthetic appeal
- Involvement in seasonal planting and the ability to execute planting designs
- Manage pests and diseases in a sustainable manner
- Ability to prune trees, shrubs, and vines to maintain their natural form, promote flowering, and enhance overall plant health
- Experience in garden restoration and renovation
- Work as part of a team to execute plans and project needs
- Assist in snow removal operations in the winter to include the following: pre-storm prep, active storm participation, post storm cleanup needs, etc
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience
- Extensive plant knowledge; including but not limited to plant and garden bed care, maintenance, pruning, health, etc
- Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to bend and lift up to 50lbs while working outdoors
- Ability to follow instructions and planting plans
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to get and maintain a DOT/Medcard
- Experience working in commercial snow removal
Job Type: Full-Time (Option: Seasonal schedule for right candidate)
Pay Range: $23-$27/hour
