Position Overview:
Join a dynamic team where you'll play a key role in expanding our landscape construction services, working directly with clients to bring their vision to life. The primary focus of this role will be generating sales and providing detailed estimates for landscape construction projects. Additionally, the Sales Representative will assist, as needed, with estimating commercial snow removal, landscape maintenance, and other landscape projects. This role requires excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of landscaping practices and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Client Relations:
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities for landscape construction projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct site visits, assess client needs, and develop customized proposals to meet their goals and budget.
- Present proposals and confidently negotiate terms to secure contracts.
- Estimating:
- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for landscape construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Support the team with occasional estimating for commercial snow removal, landscape maintenance and other related projects as needed.
- Conduct on-site measurements and assessments to ensure all proposals are precise and comprehensive.
- Experience with quoting projects at or above $100,000
- Project Knowledge:
- Work closely with our project management team to ensure smooth transitions from sales to project execution.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices, materials, and techniques to deliver expert advice to clients.
- Stay informed about trends and innovations in landscaping and snow removal to provide clients with the best solutions.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client communications, and project details.
- Utilize CRM (Aspire) software to track sales leads, estimates, and contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the landscape industry, with a strong knowledge of landscape construction processes, materials, and equipment.
- Prior experience in sales and estimating, preferably in landscaping or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, designs, and site plans.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Successfully coordinate multiple sales proposals, client meetings and project timelines to meet deadlines and exceed target sales.
- Proficient in Google Workplace and experience with CRM/estimating software is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to client sites as needed.
Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 with quarterly bonus opportunities
