Psychiatric Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Medical Assistant with experience in a Behavioral Health setting to join our team and support our providers in delivering quality mental health care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist providers and mental health providers with patient care and administrative tasks.
• Take vital signs, record patient histories, and document in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Prepare patients for psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Administer medications as directed by a licensed provider.
• Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care.
• Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and mental health resources.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Support the healthcare team with additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience working in a behavioral health setting.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric medications and mental health conditions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with compassion and professionalism.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
