What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Processor position at Total Recon Auto Center?
As a Claims Processor at Total Recon, a Tesla-approved body shop, you will be the primary liaison with insurance companies. You will ensure that all claims progress smoothly and are properly compensated, while keeping the Production staff and Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) informed on all claim-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Claims Management: Review and submit repair plans to the appropriate insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and profitability.
- Insurance Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for insurance companies, addressing any inquiries and confirming claim payments prior to vehicle delivery.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Production Manager and Blueprinters to validate and optimize repair plans.
- Follow-Up: Monitor the progress of claims, ensuring timely approvals of supplements and estimates.
- Communication: Relay information between insurance companies, production staff, and CSRs, including issues related to unrelated damage, liability concerns, and total loss.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential issues early and take preemptive action to mitigate them.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in automotive service, collision repair, or insurance claims.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Willing to work at and commute to future Laurel, MD location

Experience:
- Auto body repair: 2 years (Preferred)
- Auto estimating: 2 years (Required)
