The HSE/DOT Specialist is responsible for assisting with the implementation and documentation of HSE and DOT policy, program, and procedure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safety and Compliance:
- Conduct regular risk assessments for operational processes, identifying potential HSE and DOT issues, and implementing corrective actions.
- Perform pre-startup safety reviews (TSSR) for new pad startups and risk assessments for new processes and equipment.
- Conduct wellsite visits and truck inspections weekly.
- Lead journey management efforts by reviewing routes for new wellsites, identifying hazards, and implementing necessary safety signage for drivers.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and non-compliance issues, producing detailed reports and action plans to prevent future occurrences.
- Participate in emergency response planning, drills, and exercises as required by customers.
- Perform general facility inspections on a monthly basis, ensuring all safety equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, first aid kits, eye wash stations) is in compliance.
Training:
- Conduct new hire orientation for the region including Smith and PEC training, Luma modules, and system overviews (phone apps, etc.).
- Issue and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) for employees.
- Assist with trainee rides from lodging locations if necessary.
