Based out of our Support Center in Mission Viejo, CA and reporting directly to the IT Director Total Vision LLC is seeking a IT Support Specialist who will be a key contributor on the Information Technology team. As a leading member of the IT support team, you will need a high level of professionalism along with strong technical & problem-solving skills. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support to end users, automate business workflows, maintain the company computer systems, and to work with the IT team to solve complex technical problems to ensure continuous business operations and the availability of IT systems for all users.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the IT help desk manager to ensure all issues and requests are responded to in a timely manner and resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Assist in implementation of technologies that automate & digitize our business processes and associated workflows using technologies such as: Microsoft PowerApps, Flow, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
- Working with the Senior Systems Engineer to monitor and maintain all computer systems.
- Providing technical support across the company (both in person & remote).
- Setting up accounts for new users & assisting with accessing company resources (on -boarding, off -boarding, etc.).
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, and peripherals.
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
- Testing new technologies & documenting the results for the IT team to reference.
- Working with enterprise security & policy establishment for the Total Vision LLC O365 tenant.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong oral & written communication skills paired with a high level of professionalism.
- Impeccable customer service skills with the ability to always remain patient and respectful, especially during challenging situations.
- A logical thought process along with strong problem-solving skills.
- At least 2 years of work experience with some of or all the following systems: Windows 10 operating system, Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365 suite, Azure AD, Cisco Meraki, Lan & WAN networking fundamentals, printer & scanner configuration, helpdesk software such as Zendesk, and remote support software such as ConnectWise.
- Ability to learn new technologies and software and can properly document and share those with the rest of the team as needed.
- Can effectively prioritize work requests and work occasional long hours while providing own transportation to various sites throughout the Southern California region on a regular basis.
EDUCATION:
- A High School diploma or equivalent with at least two years of college-level coursework or training in a computer-related discipline. Relevant work experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Must be physically able to sit for long periods of time, read a computer screen for long periods of time, reach, and lift 40 lbs. Hand dexterity, and eye and hand coordination critical.
- Employee is subject to inside environmental conditions. Employee’s schedule could include after hour projects, as needed. Travel, as needed.
