Description
The primary role of the Finance Director is to oversee all financial activities, reporting on revenue, training accounting staff, budgeting, disbursing funds to departments, managing risk, implementing policies, and improving financial processes.
The Director of Finance is responsible for the financial health of the company. By combining strategic and operational goals, this position manages the accounting and economic aspects of a company by enforcing a financial strategy aimed toward profitable long-term growth.

Job Responsibilities :
- Prepares the annual budgets and financial forecasts, as well as analyzing the performance towards financial goals on a routine basis.
- Identify KPI's, industry trends, and other performance metrics for the Company; develop strategic initiatives based on those metrics and trends.
- Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
- Creates and maintains a series of financial controls and procedures for the accounting department.
- Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
- Reviews the planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
- Works with the CEO and other Executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
- Ensure compliance with GAPP, State and Federal tax laws, property and sales tax laws, and industry-specific financial requirements across multiple states across the US.
- Lead audits, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Responsible for the various ledgers including cash disbursements, cash receipts, accounts payable, month-end payroll summary, accounts receivable summary, and journal entries to adjust the general ledger.
- Generates monthly reports including accounts payable reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliation, cash flow report, and balance sheet audits.
- Maintains full integrity of all revenues, ensuring organization policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations, are followed.
- Meets periodically with department heads to gather variance explanations and understand operational workflows and departmental / entity performance.
- Managers employees on in the Finance department, including time clock review, disciplinary action, performance reviews, assisting in onboarding and offboarding.
- Oversee capital assets projects, ensuring organizations' goals are being met.
- Compiles fiscal estimates and prepares fiscal reports as requested.
