1st Shift Receiving Supervisor
- Salary: $40,000 - $45,000 per year
- Schedule: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, with occasional weekend work based on volume. Typical hours are 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with shifts ranging from 8 to 10 hours, depending on customer needs.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Receiving Supervisor to lead daily operations in our receiving department. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, managing incoming shipments, and upholding high safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments, oversee a team, and implement best practices to streamline warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise employees handling unloading, invoice verification, stock pulling, material handling equipment operation, pallet put-away, and other warehouse tasks.
- Assist receiving personnel with product receipts and shipping requirements.
- Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies.
- Conduct forklift testing and licensing.
- Approve and track work hours and productivity.
- Assist with internal and external corrective actions as needed.
- Work toward achieving operational goals while identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Promote a strong safety culture and maintain cleanliness in the work area and facility.
- Maintain accurate receiving records and uphold compliance with company procedures.
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and optimize workflow.
- Provide clear written and verbal instructions to improve team efficiency.
- Verify that inbound shipments meet quality assurance standards.
- Uphold company policies and operational standards.
- Take on additional projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience supervising warehouse employees.
- Strong background in shipping and receiving operations, with leadership experience.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and quality assurance.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
