Salary : $40,000 - $45,000 per year
Schedule : 1st shift, Monday - Friday, with occasional weekend work based on volume. Typical hours are 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM, with shifts ranging from 8 to 10 hours, depending on customer needs.
Job Description :
We are looking for a Receiving Supervisor to lead daily operations in our receiving department. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, managing incoming shipments, and upholding high safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments, oversee a team, and implement best practices to streamline warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervise employees handling unloading, invoice verification, stock pulling, material handling equipment operation, pallet put-away, and other warehouse tasks.
Assist receiving personnel with product receipts and shipping requirements.
Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies.
Conduct forklift testing and licensing.
Approve and track work hours and productivity.
Assist with internal and external corrective actions as needed.
Work toward achieving operational goals while identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
Promote a strong safety culture and maintain cleanliness in the work area and facility.
Maintain accurate receiving records and uphold compliance with company procedures.
Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and optimize workflow.
Provide clear written and verbal instructions to improve team efficiency.
Verify that inbound shipments meet quality assurance standards.
Uphold company policies and operational standards.
Take on additional projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications :
At least one year of experience supervising warehouse employees.
Strong background in shipping and receiving operations, with leadership experience.
Knowledge of safety procedures and quality assurance.
Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
