Warehouse Operations Manager
Location: Romulus, MI
Employment Type: Full-Time | Manager/Supervisor
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year
Schedule: 5 out of 7 days, including weekends as needed based on business volume (8-10 hour shifts, subject to change per customer demand)
About the Role
Total Warehouse Solutions is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our third-party logistics facility. This role is ideal for a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of operations, and looks for ways to improve processes and drive efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse operations, office functions, customer relations, IT, quality control, and security.
- Take full ownership of P&L, optimize workflows, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies that improve efficiency and profitability.
- Lead recruitment, hiring, and performance management to build and maintain a strong team.
- Improve processes, policies, and procedures to keep operations running smoothly.
- Monitor financial statements, manage budgets, and control inventory.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to boost productivity.
- Keep safety standards high and make sure equipment is properly maintained.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Basic knowledge of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and warehouse safety procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience engaging with senior management and writing reports.
- Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Hands-on leadership style with a focus on accountability and teamwork.
- Proven ability to implement process improvements and make operations more efficient.
