Your expertise will directly contribute to the company’s ability to successfully bid and execute projects in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead, based on project specifications and site conditions.

  • Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids for clients, ensuring that all elements of the project are accounted for and aligned with client requirements.

  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary information and clarify scope details for accurate estimating.

  • Risk Analysis: Identify potential risks or challenges in project execution, providing mitigation strategies to ensure projects remain within budget and schedule.

  • Subcontractor and Vendor Relations: Solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating pricing and qualifications to ensure cost-effectiveness and project quality.

  • Review and Adjust Estimates: Continuously review project cost estimates throughout the life of a project, adjusting as necessary due to design changes, unforeseen site conditions, or other factors.

  • Maintain Database: Keep an updated database of historical project costs, benchmarks, and industry trends to support future estimates and improve bidding accuracy.

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methodologies, especially in industrial sectors like oil and gas, petrochemical, and renewable energy.

  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).

  • Solid knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and other advanced technologies for cost estimation and project management.

  • Familiarity with contract types, including lump-sum, time and materials, and cost-plus contracts.
