Activités
TotalEnergies EP Research & Technology USA is the US hub for the global research activity that TotalEnergies engages in. This position will help develop advanced grid modeling capability to drive key business decisions.
- Execute projects outlined in the US Grid Modeling R&D roadmap.
- Coordinate with Data Science group and external third parties for grid modeling scenario development.
- Contribute directly to the evolution of internal grid modeling capability.
- Ensure proper follow-up with key stakeholders for project costs, deadlines, and relevance of results.
- Identify relevant R&D partners (academics, national labs, companies) in the US.
- Propose original solutions for the development of new test methodologies.
- Develop and secure intellectual property rights whenever it is possible.
- Maintain an up-to-date new technology watch and disseminate actionable information to the US research team, relevant Business units, and the R&D Distributed Energy Resources (DER) Program.
- Carry out HSE initiatives and comply with safety requirements.
- Follow and adhere to US Laws and company directives.
Profil du candidat
Education/Experience:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Power Systems, or related field of study.
- 3 years of experience at an electric utility or a field related to electricity markets is required.
- Experience in transmission and distribution power systems, grid innovation, and/or demand side forecasting.
- Experience in translating macro trends in grid development into a quantitative impact (congestion, load curve, nodal pricing, etc.)
Skills:
- Familiarity with data science and quantitative analysis
- Fluent in English; French, a plus
