About the Position:
TJFACT is seeking to hire a well-qualified Program Assistant in Washington, DC to support our DOS INL/EA (Office of Europe and Asia) team! The level of effort for this position is equivalent to a Program Assistant/Program Support Specialist Level 3.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support program activities; assists in coordinating the implementation of projects within a portfolio.
- Aid in drafting success stories, briefing papers, talking pointes, presentations for management review and use.
- Manage program files and records, tracks reports.
- Research materials as required to compile information, reports, and statistical information regarding the supported program.
- Support officials in coordinating policy issues relating to portfolio.
- Aid in managing program budget formulation; analyze budget proposals and assists with preparing justifications and memoranda for presentations to OMB and Congress.
- Aid in evaluating program effectiveness in relation to the funding expended for regional programs.
- Aid in office outreach projects by conducting logistical support.
- Perform administrative duties when required to support program requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- U.S. Citizen
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Four (4) to six (6) years’ experience in relevant field
- Demonstrated ability to work on projects and issues within overall policy guidelines.
- Demonstrated skilled in oral and written communication, sufficient to draft action and info memos, congressional testimony, press guidance and congressional and general correspondence.
- Knowledge of international narcotics and law enforcement issues.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated experience with budgets and foreign assistance program management.
- Demonstrated international experience (academic or prior work).
- Demonstrated experience conducting research and drafting papers for the Department.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Excellent organizational skills.

Experience
