JOB DESCRIPTION
MAJOR FUNCTION:
Make visual and physical inspection of bowl; check for correct measurements.
Classify Bowl.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
Use of manipulator to lift/transfer toilets with required gloves.
Tools: 1-63 1.5mm Gap gauge.
Tools: 150mm ruler.
Green dot stickers.
Back brace belt
Safety Gloves.
Wear steel toe safety shoes.
Tools furnished by company.

SOURCE OF SUPERVISION:
Supervised by Glost Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Push product down conveyor to visual inspection table
- Make appearance and dimensional inspection on visual inspection table.
- Make warpage inspection on clearance inspection table.
- Lift product off of setter and place product on visual inspection table
- Remove setter from top conveyor and place on return conveyor.
- Touch test – rub fingers over the bottom side of the rim nearest the seat attachment holes.
- Pencil test – using a led pencil, draw several lines on the seat area of the SG product near the tank.
- Draw several lines inside the bow area. Compare both.
- Place lid on top of the tank, visually inspect to see if the lied is centered from left to right on tank top.
- Measure overhand or shortage between tank top and tank lid.
- Maintains neat and organized work area in accordance to good housekeeping and safe work practices.
- Communicates with Purchasing and Accounting departments as needed.
- Performs physical inventory of received materials as requested.
- Inspection for tank lid rocking on (All models).
- Inspect the lid for movement if the lid rocks insert gap gauge to determine gap.
- Pencil markings should be clear, easy to apply and pronounced on non-Sana Gloss area.
- On Sana Gloss defects on special order product, apply green dot stickers to the front of tank.
- M defect for standard overhang within 3mm and under hand within 2mm. Out of standard mark the tank where warped.
- Perform equipment and pallet maintenance on work area from the beginning of the conveyor next to the kiln
cart unload area to the end of the clearance table. - Keep product distribution pallet available at all times.
- Perform cold patch with silicone resin.
- Must be able to move 70lb of product down inspection line.
- Observe safety requirements at all times. Keep area neat and clean.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assists with training for this position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or Equivalency. One (1) to two (2) years of related experience with (accuracy is a must).
Working knowledge of PC based system utilizing Microsoft Office.
Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work without close supervision.
Must be able to read and interpret product labels.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment consists of an indoor facility with limited heat in winter, not air conditioned in summer in the manufacturing work area. Summer heat is moderate.
Minor exposure to odors from lubricants/preservatives as well as fumes from gas operated sit-down forklift trucks. Moderate noise levels are present. Job requires the
use of personal protective equipment (PPE) that may include, but not limited to; protective gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses, protective sleeves, and safety shoes. Minimal
possibility of accidents of a minor nature requiring first aid.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position is not a supervisory position
