In search of a Director
Performs administrative and office support duties for Director. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, touring prospective families, admissions, accounts receivables, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, filing, etc. Facilitate the efficient operation of the school.
Must maintain positive supportive relationships with staff, children, and parents.
- Ongoing co-development of the program, including administrative operations, the play-based curriculum, our outdoor area, and our food program.
- Create positive partnerships with families by responding to questions and concerns.
- Maintain the day-to-day business to keep the school/staff up and running (staffing hours, answering phone calls/emails, deliveries scheduled, etc.)
- Monitor condition of building, playground, and all equipment to ensure all safety standards are met
- Maintain/update bulletin board every month.
- Must attend mandatory staff meetings, required training, and continuing education.
- Must meet all applicable licensing regulations.
- Assist with coverage in classrooms, and coordinating center events
- Schedule/conduct tours of the center for parents/guardians
- Maintenance of enrollment waitlist
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position which include lifting children, and sitting on the floor
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/MA in early childhood education or a related field
- 2 years of experience as an Assistant Director in a licensed childcare center
- At least 2 years of administrative work experience in a child care setting
- Experience and love for working with communities of color; comfort working with ALL communities.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
