Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Monitor patients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Support individuals with memory care needs by implementing strategies to enhance cognitive function.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home care or group home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed for client assistance.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
