Touching Hearts at Home Dayton is seeking an individual to fill a critical leadership role within our office support team. Experience providing care for older adults in a home care setting is highly desirable, but not a requirement. Competency in delivering care to individuals with complex needs such as memory care, bedbound care, and hoyer transfers will need to be demonstrated during the first thirty days of training for the position. An associates degree or higher and / or an STNA or MA certificate is desirable, although care experience and knowledge is equally valued. The position is part of a team of ten individuals responsible for ensuring the success of our care team and satisfaction of our clients located throughout Montgomery, Greene, and parts of Clark county.
The position is based in our Kettering office and is NOT REMOTE. The Home Care Recruiter & Training Specialist will conduct in person interviews of candidates for our care team; will make hiring decisions and initiate the onboarding for new hires; will conduct the initial orientation and training for our new hires each week; and will support our care team and clients on the phone, by text, by email, and in person in our clients' homes as needed. Responsibilities include participating in care plan adjustments for clients, providing "on demand" and as needed scheduling, working open shifts with clients when shortages arise, and providing training & supervisory visits to our clients' homes. A willingness and eagerness to provide hands on care when needed is required, and expertise in hands on care will be critical. Some weeks could be as much as 100% of scheduled time working with clients. Providing outstanding care to our clients is always the top priority.
The ability to thrive working at a fast pace in a high pressure environment is key to success in the position. The position is full time with a somewhat flexible work schedule. On call duties are a required part of this position, with one evening per week, as much as one weekend per month, and two rotating holidays each year required.
