Server - Part-time including WeekendsShifts are from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Food Handler’s Permit (if employee does not have a Food Handler’s Permit when hired, it must be obtained within one month of employment);
Ability to observe discrepancies in procedure and equipment and communicate such in a professional and intelligent manner;
Required uniform worn at all times and hair worn away from face and covered;
Interested in working in an environment with elderly adults;
Patient and tactful when dealing with residents, family members, volunteers, visitors, physicians, staff and general public;
Willingness to perform a variety of repetitive tasks;
Willingness to accept training for procedures specific to this department;
Willingness to accept supervision and direction from supervisor and to work as a member of a team;
Ability to work independently;
Ability to get along with co-workers, demonstrate integrity and express a positive attitude and a sense of humor;
Must demonstrate and practice proper safety and lifting techniques at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance and punctuality;
Ability to read and write English and follow oral and written instructions;
Physically capable of turning, stooping, bending, stretching, moving equipment and performing other related tasks with the ability to lift up to 30 lbs;
Ability to tolerate standing for periods up to two hours at a time;
Ability to perform a variety of repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy within a noisy environment;
Ability to demonstrate and use proper safety and lifting techniques at all times;
After receiving the appropriate training, must be able to operate standard kitchen equipment required for position.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
Attend Stand-Up Meetings and Culinary Planning Meetings;
Maintain hand and working surface sanitation at all times, according to specifications;
Maintain a safe environment, to include keeping floor dry and free of debris which can cause falls;
Practice proper safety and lifting techniques;
Check menu for changes;
Keep supervisor apprised of all changes in equipment performance and the need for supplies;
Follow departmental guidelines for sanitation, using daily cleaning list for assignment;
Attend mandatory meetings of Dining Department and all-facility meetings;
Prepare for noon meal including stocking table supplies such as butter, creamer, salt and pepper;
Check with supervisor to see if assistance is needed for evening meal;
Make coffee for evening meal;
Fill water glasses with lemon and water for evening meal;
Set up coffee station with appropriate items (tea, juice, milk, lemons, etc.);
Sweep floors in kitchen area. Hose down the floor and apply appropriate floor cleaner; scrub and rinse;
Perform all other duties, as requested by supervisor(s), with a positive attitude.
Final candidate must produce a clear police check and be double vaccinated.
