Overview
- This position will assist with the development, translation and implementation of community health workers and other community facing education.
- This person will work with the DREAM team to determine priority tasks for education.
- This person will be involved in both curriculum development and implementation.
- This position will require some time directly interacting with the community class participants.
Responsibilities
- General Educational Support. The following duties are performed to support the basic operations
- Developing education materials for community based classes.
- Translating into Spanish current educational curriculums.
- Participates in the running of the community based classes.
- Work closely with the DREAM team educators to guide program development and delivery.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of class participants including: conduct e-mails, phone calls, announcements, and other communication with class members.
- Replenishment of inventory of educational supplies and resources; filing; photocopying, etc.
- Assists in preparation of program or committee policies, procedures, bylaws, handbooks, etc.
Qualifications
Qualifications are the Education, Training and/or related experience needed by the person to perform the job.
Essential Experience:
- College graduation or job-related experience demonstrating specific knowledge of the skills and duties required of the position.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
- Ability to operate standard office technology (desktop computer, printers, photocopiers, fax, scanner, etc).
- Experience utilizing common communication technologies and services (email (Outlook), including development of listservs, voicemail, phone and video conferencing, etc).

- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and personalities.
