Early Childhood Education Assistant

The job of Early Childhood Education Assistant II is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for organizing and directing age appropriate activities for infants to pre-school aged children in classrooms, common areas and playgrounds; preparing and serving meals; and assisting in maintaining a clean and safe learning environment for children. This Job reports to Assigned Supervisor The Napa County Office of Education (NCOE) is a public agency that provides academic services and enrichment opportunities for students, teachers and the community, as well as critical business services for school districts. NCOE partners with the five public school districts in Napa County on a variety of programs and issues. QUALIFICATIONS:

•Job related experience is required in infant to pre-school age children or child care setting

• High school diploma or equivalent with an emphasis in Early Child Development

• Early Childhood Education or related field 9 units

• Food Handlers/ServSafe Certificate

• Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certificate

• Physical Capacities Test Clearance
