What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. UX/UI Designer position at Touro University New York?
About Our Department
The web department provides services to the various entities of Touro with a primary focus on the New York schools. We value your skills as much as your ability to be a good fit for the team. We’re a small team, each with their own tasks to accomplish, so as important as working well together, is self-motivation and your ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Helping to identify bugs/usability issues, areas for improvement, and working with UX/UI designer on solutions.
- Assisting with user testing, research, and brainstorming.
- Creating and/or modifying digital assets and uploading them to the CMS
- Creating news and event postings using our CMS and basic HTML/CSS where necessary.
- Works primarily in assistance to UX/UI designer, but can help other team members (developers, writers, project manager) with visual design related tasks.
The ideal candidate has an interest in UX/UI design but is able and willing to do a little bit of everything. Someone who has dabbled in a range of creative and technological pursuits - maybe you are a graphic designer that picked up some coding skills by customizing WordPress sites, or a web developer that is transitioning to visual design.
