Cashier/Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Barista to join our team in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages while providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve engaging with customers, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and inviting café atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes.
• Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly.
• Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions accurately, and manage customer payments.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, pastries, and other supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and register operations.
• Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• A passion for coffee and a desire to learn more about brewing techniques is highly desirable.
