What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Medical Staff Svcs position at Tower Health?
Responsible for the medical administration and medico-legal aspects of the medical staff organization and serves as an essential link between senior management and the medical staff to promote and enhance good communications and a positive working relationship. Ensures compliance with the accrediting and regulatory agencies (i.e., TJC, NCQA) in regard to credentialing while developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the statutes and laws.
Maintains a working knowledge of the medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and keeps the medical staff updated on all changes. Responsible for establishing, contributing to and maintaining continuity in the planning, development and implementation of standards applicable to the medical staff organization, relating to credentialing, quality and administrative functions.
Key functions include taking budgetary responsibility for the department as well as supervisory responsibility for department staff. Functions in management at the system level, in addition to interacting with corporate colleagues on credentialing responsibilities and internal (e.g., credentialed providers, hospital departments) and external (e.g., outside facilities, managed care agencies, general public) customers.
Full Time Position Monday -Friday, 9am-5;30pm, no weekends, no holidays required.
