Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tower Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications towers, ensuring optimal performance of 4G, 5G, and other wireless technologies. This role requires a strong understanding of high voltage systems, climbing techniques, and fiber splicing, as well as the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment on towers.
• Perform fiber splicing to ensure proper connectivity and signal strength.
• Climb towers safely to conduct inspections and repairs.
• Operate bucket trucks for elevated work tasks.
• Utilize voltmeters for testing electrical systems and troubleshooting issues.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working at heights.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G technologies.

Skills

• Proficient in climbing techniques and safety practices for working at heights.
• Experience with telecommunications equipment including 4G/LTE and 5G systems.
• Ability to weld when necessary for structural repairs or modifications.
• Knowledge of high voltage systems and safety measures associated with them.
• Familiarity with fiber splicing techniques for efficient network performance.
• Competence in using tools such as voltmeters for electrical testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
