Our high-volume pastry operation supports banquets, fine dining, and large-scale conventions, delivering exceptional baked goods and desserts. We are seeking a Pastry Cook to join our talented culinary team.The Pastry Cook is responsible for the preparation and execution of high-quality pastries, breads, and desserts under the guidance of the Pastry Chef. Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake pastries, breads, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in the production of items for banquets, fine dining, and large-scale events while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Properly measure and mix ingredients, ensuring accuracy and precision in all recipes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor baking temperatures, cooking times, and ingredient freshness to ensure product excellence.
- Assist with plating and garnishing desserts for service.
- Follow HACCP guidelines and kitchen safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with the pastry team and assist with daily prep work as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of pastry experience in a professional kitchen, hotel, or banquet setting preferred.
- Familiarity with classic and modern pastry techniques, including doughs, mousses, custards, and chocolate work.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and passion for high-quality presentation.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior pastry team members.
- Open availability, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Food handler's card
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours per shift).
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-temperature kitchen environment.
- Manual dexterity required for detailed pastry work.
Salary : $20 - $21
