What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal - Youth Services position at Town of Andover?
The Town of Andover seeks creative, energized and dynamic applicants for seasonal positions at Andover Youth Services (AYS). AYS provides enrichment opportunities for youth development by way of engaging participants in a variety of recreational, educational, social and support programs.
Seasonal staff will work alongside AYS staff members to lead and guide youth through a variety of activities from cooking and art to court sports and athletic activities. AYS will also offer a variety of day trips and excursions for activities as part of its of summer programming.
Seasonal staff are responsible for:
- Modeling respectful behavior among all attendees
- Checking in program participants
- Communicating regularly with Youth Services staff
- Ensure and foster a safe and welcoming environment for all participants
- Assist program needs including set up, break down and while participants are present
- Supervise Youth and enforce AYS and building rules
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Perform other duties assigned by Youth Services Staff
A variety of hours are available, all during the months of June, July and August. These are part time, seasonal positions and are not eligible for benefits.
