Seasonal (SEAS) position
Job Description
Assist with the daily operations of all marine related programs and tasks for waterway’s services including pumpout services, marina services, mooring services, waterways enforcement, etc.; all other related work as required within the Harbormaster Division.
Assists Harbormaster in oversight of Emergency Medical Equipment for Harbormaster Division.
Minimum Qualifications
High School courses, experience dealing with the general public, two years boating experience, safe boating certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience. MA class D driver’s license required. Weekend and holiday work required; hours vary. Must be at least 18 years old.
Additional Qualifications
Working knowledge of small boat operation and boat handling - including docking and launching. Working knowledge of waterfront operations/practices. Safe boating certificate preferred. Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time. Must be able to work in a high paced environment with frequent interruptions. Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Strong boat handling skill, interpersonal skill. Good motor and coordination skills.
