Role Description
The Assistant Director of Finance performs difficult professional work developing and maintaining financial reports, coordinating the administrative functions of the Town, assisting with preparation of financial statements, and related work as assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Director of Finance. Departmental oversight is exercised over all personnel within the department.
Qualifications
- Financial Planning and Financial Reporting skills
- Analytical Skills
- Experience in Finance and preparing Financial Statements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or closely related field and four or more years’ experience directly related to municipal government finance or similar public sector, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Certified Public Accountant or other equivalent certifications highly desirable
