The working schedule for these positions are 24-40 hours per week. Work days are 3-5 days a week. Must be able to work weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and assists in the preparation of all daily menu, specials and tournament food items.
- Provides customer service by assisting dining room customers.
- Assists with sanitizing kitchen.
- Assists with kitchen dish cleaning and sanitization.
- May assist with set-up, planning and serving of special events.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Minimum Qualifications:
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: At least 6 months cooking experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of basic principles and practices in food and beverage operations.
- Ability to understand verbal information and instructions.
- Ability to read and understand written material.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
Physical Demands:
- Moderate, though not constant physical effort, typically involving lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for periods of four or more hours
- Frequent performance of activities requiring a full range of body movement including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling/bending, crouching, crawling, and/or twisting
- Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate tools and electrical equipment as well as for driving equipment and vehicles
- Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information
- Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens
Work Environment:
- Kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, smoke, and grease
Equipment Used:
- This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment
