Pay range : Starting at $18.33
Location : The Town of Cohasset is seeking an arts and crafts coordinator for the summer program with the recreation department. This position reports to the Recreation Director.
Description of responsibilities :
The arts & crafts coordinator supports all programs and is responsible for developing lesson plans and crafts for the summer.
The primary responsibility of all the staff is to supervise and lead children aged 5-10 through the Playground program and aged 10-14 through the Xtreme Program. Activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts, songs, dance, drama, and field trips while ensuring a safe, supervised environment. Additional duties include supporting the director and coordinators, participating in training sessions, maintaining records such as weekly attendance and accident reports, and ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility and grounds. Staff will also enforce Recreation Department rules and policies related to the program and deliver exceptional customer service to both patrons and fellow staff members

Requirements :
CPR : All applicants must hold a current CPR certification. CPR classes will be provided to staff at no cost.
2025 Summer Program Dates :
Monday, June 30 through Friday, August 8th
Session 1 - June 30th through July 18th (no 4th of July) - Mon-Fri
Session 2 - July 21 through August 8 - Mon-Fri
Orientation - Mandatory - week of June 23rd.
Candidates must be available for orientation and cover a full session. As we job share, we prefer candidates who can commit to both sessions.
