What are the responsibilities and job description for the Town Clerk position at Town of Corinna, Maine?
The Town of Corinna is seeking a responsible individual for the position of Town Clerk, Registrar of Voters, Payroll Clerk, Deputy Treasurer/Deputy Tax Collector. This position is responsible for Town records and vital statistics; issuance of various licenses and permits; recording and maintenance of official documents; supervision of elections; tax collection; accounting and bookkeeping tasks for payroll, accounts payable and receivables; monitors expenditures, and revenues, reconciles accounts, and prepares financial reports. Applicants should be detail-oriented and possess strong computer skills. Experience in municipal government and TRIO software is preferred however, we are willing to train the right candidate. The successful candidate will work cooperatively in a team setting to help meet and exceed customer expectations.
Hours of work are full-time; 32 hours Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Pay range will be based on experience. Town of Corinna also offers a competitive benefits package.
