What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator position at TOWN OF COVENTRY?
This position is responsible for the overall development and implementation of programs at the Human Services Department. These programs follow a holistic approach to individuals who frequent the Center. The most familiar efforts are generally directed at the Elder population but also includes individuals with disabilities. Programs include Arts, Passive Recreation, Exercise, Health & Wellness, Nutrition, Educational Peer Support, and Financial to name a few. Also responsible to organize and take an active part in special events such as craft fairs/bazaars, Bingo etc.
A candidate for this position should have an Associate’s degree plus three to five years of Human Services or related field. Candidate will have or obtain RI Department of Health Food Safety Manager Certification and knowledge of ADA standards.

· Prioritize and perform multiple tasks with little supervision
· Exercise considerable judgment and tact in contact with public officials and the general public in matters relating to departmental policy and procedures.
